YREKA, CA. - Fred's Towing tow truck driver Curtis A. Westbrook, 47, of Yreka received major injuries Thursday when the truck he was assisting on I-5 rolled over his chest. The bizarre accident happened at 11 a.m. on southbound I-5 about one mile south of the Collier Rest Area. The southbound freeway is a steep uphill grade for at least two miles south of Collier. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that Westbrook was assisting a disabled 2004 GMC Duramax with a car trailer with three vehicles on it. The disabled truck was on the right side shoulder with Westbrook working underneath the truck when it began to roll backwards. Westbrook was unable to move away from the vehicle and its right front tire ran over his chest. The vehicle continued rolling backwards until it collided into the front end of the tow truck parked behind it. The GMC then jackknifed onto both southbound lanes of I-5 coming to rest against the center medium barrier wall, blocking all southbound traffic for about 20 minutes. Southbound I-5 traffic backed up all the way to the Collier Rest Area on-ramp as the CHP and additional tow trucks removed the disabled truck. Westbrook was transported to Fairchild Medical Center, where he was treated for major chest and upper torso injuries. The accident is still under investigation. Resource Link |

CREATION OF YOUR AFFILIATE ZONE The reason for YOUR AFFILIATE ZONE is that the Founder & President, Curtis Westbrook (that’s me!!),was involved in a severe industrial accident on March 10, 2005. I was a towman, and as I was preparing a 1 ton 2004 GMC Sierra Duramax truck for towing (by disconnecting the driveline), the emergency brakes failed and the right front tire rolled over my chest. Too bad, so sad. Let's go SHOPPING!!! I spent until April 12 in the hospital recovering. When I was released from the hospital, I had a broken right arm with a metal band & 12 screws holding my humerous bone together (I still say that the dr. that named that bone had a very dry sense of humor). Having the hardware was O.K., but as I was healing, the bone (as the orthopedist says) "grew way too much". I had to undergo yet another surgery to have the hardware removed, a "bunch" of bone scraped & chiseled away from my injury. While recuperating, I’ve had plenty of time to surf on the net, and decided to learn how
to create websites. Then I wondered how I could get people (like you) to stop and shop here! So I thought I would share some of the reasons that I shop at YOUR AFFILIATE ZONE Let's go SHOPPING!!!I hope that you have as much FUN shopping in YOUR AFFILIATE ZONE as I have making it. Remember, this is all I have to do so come back often to see what changes I make as I learn more cool stuff!!! Oh yeah, why don't you SHOP in the Mall, so my wife will stop telling me that I am just wasting my time???? HAVE FUN & BE BLESSED 'cuz “TO BE BLESSED” is a Commandment and not an option (until you can Run faster than the speed of Light!) | ||||||||||||
